Entry Qualifications

  • Applicants must be over 18 years old on the date the course commences.
  • Applicants must have a desire to be effective in the life of the church where they are already based and have those who will act as referees stating such about them.
  • Applicants under the age of 21 years are required to have a minimum of two ‘A’ levels, grade A-E.  For students over 21 years of age who do not have ‘A’ levels, their prior life-learning experience is taken into consideration.
  • The missional emphasis of the course means that those who may not have achieved high results academically in the past find a very different motivation and are successful.

If you are applying from outside the UK and are under 21, you must have the equivalent of two A levels and will need to send a Statement of Comparability. These are issued by UK NARIC.

If you do not have two A levels but are over 21 and have relevant life experience, your application is welcomed.

English as a Second language

At interview, see Application Procedure, each student must convince the interviewing panel that they have a competent level of English and will be able to meet the academic demands of the course. The required level will be at least the equivalent of International English Language Testing System (IELTS) level 6.   Some applicants may be required to sit an IELTS test to establish their level of English.
