During the year a two night residential is planned. There is no charge for this, but students will have to organise their own transport to and from the venue.

The aim of the residential is twofold:

a) To facilitate social interaction among students early on in the academic year.

b) To provide a time for students to reflect upon their aims and individual targets early on in

the academic year and have a time where they individually are led by the Holy Spirit to set targets for their time at School of the Word. This is line with the ethos of School of the Word being a Spirit led learning exercise where the Holy Spirit is Lord of learning.

There are also plans for a residential in France in May 2010.
