The library in School of the Word is rapidly growing and thousands of pounds are being invested into upgrading resources available to students. Nevertheless, there is an acknowledgement that for the desired academic excellence, more will be needed. Every student enrolled on School of the Word is therefore also enrolled as a full member of Manchester University Library. As such, students are permitted to work in the library during study times, take out books and access materials the same as any student of the University. The University library is a short 5 minute walk from School of the Word. It has over 4 million books and is one of the largest libraries in the country. It is open till 11.30pm most evenings.
